My research interests lie in the area of environmental chemistry and focus on the stability of natural organic matter (NOM). NOM has an important role in in carbon storage and sequestration, in the development of a sustainable agriculture and for the transport and fate of anthropogenic organic compounds in the environment. My research interests include self-assembly of natural organic matter, NOM’s stability and carbon sequestration, and contaminant fate in soils and sediments.
